NAQAB, August 15, 2011(WAFA) - More than twenty Israelis Monday prevented a bus carrying the families of Palestinian prisoners from proceeding to visit the prisoners in Nafha desert prison.

The activists called for freeing Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier captive by Hamas since June 2006. They arrived in Naqab and intercepted the bus carrying the families of the prisoners. They put up signs on the bus saying, “visiting prisoners will not happen if Shalit cannot have visitors”. Israeli police did not intervene, but prohibited the Palestinian families from stepping off the bus.
