JENIN, August 14, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli forces are conducting a large-scale military trainings on Palestinian lands adjacent to residents’ houses in the northern Jordan Valley Areas, in Tubas Governorate, Sunday said Ahmad Asaad, in charge of settlements file in Tubas.

Witnesses said that Israeli artillery enforcements raided al-Boke’a area and al-Aqaba, a village in the valley, and carried out surveillance and inspection campaigns in addition to repeated extensive military trainings, which lead to the destruction of the infrastructure and fields as well as prevent shepherds from herding their cattle.

A Palestinian youth was moderately injured a few weeks ago by an explosion of an object left behind an Israeli military exercise session.

Asaad condemned the Israeli arbitrary measures against Palestinians in the Jordon valley and called on the international and human rights organizations to intervene to stop the ongoing Israeli harassments against them.

He said that “these Israeli measures aim to empty the Jordon Valley of its residents in preparation of the annexation plan of the Israeli right wing.”
