Organization for Islamic Cooperation Calls on UN to Stop Israeli Settlement Activities

CAIRO, August 7, 2011 (WAFA) - Secretary General of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation,  Akmal Oglo Sunday called on United Nations security council to stop Israeli settlement activities and aggression against Palestinians.

He condemned the Israeli government’s decision to build 930 units in East Jerusalem and considered it a violation of the international and human law and Fourth 1949 Geneva conviction.

Oglo said, “This occupation is illegal and aims to isolate the city of Jerusalem from the Palestinian Territory, which requires a decisive stance by the international community.”
