Ashkelon Prison Administration Imposes New Sanctions on Prisoners

RAMALLAH, May 24, 2011 (WAFA) – Palestinian Prisoners’ Club Tuesday said that Ashkelon prison administration imposed new sanctions on prisoners as a response to the strikes.

The club said that the prison administration denied the prisoners their visitation rights, prevented them from buying essential food and would not allow them to watch the Arabic TV channels.

The prisoners said they are considering a program which will be followed by all prisoners to gain their rights.

They scheduled a meeting with the prison administration and demanded to cancel solitary confinement which is the reason behind the strikes.
