Arab League Calls on International Community to Support Palestinians’ Inalienable Rights

CAIRO, May 22, 2011 (WAFA) – League of Arab States in a statement published Sunday called on the international community to support Palestinians’ inalienable rights.

The statement said that “the current conditions in the region, the 63rd Nakba anniversary demonstrations and the Right to Return campaigns confirm Israel’s failure to obliterate Palestinian and Arab rights.”

It added that the Israeli aggression against three Arab countries in 1967 and its occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, Jerusalem and Golan heights aim to achieve dangerous strategic goals in the region.”

It insisted that the Israeli aggression and occupation of Arab territories are the reasons behind all wars and conflicts in the Middle East (ME).

The statement showed that Arabs have been cooperating for four decades with all international resolutions and initiatives to end the occupation and reach peace; as the later is the only strategic option for all Arabs, despite of Israel’s attempts to Judaize Jerusalem.

It condemned Israel’s persistence to occupy the West Bank and Syrian Golan heights, steal Palestinian land as well as impose strict blockade on Gaza.
“the constant Israeli violations against Arab lands reveal the true intentions of Israel; not wanting to reach peace.
There is an Israeli persistence to continue occupation and aggression, deny the Palestinians' right to establish an independent state according to the two-states solution approved by international community,” it said.
