BETHLEHEM, May 22, 2011 (WAFA) – Jewish settlers from Etzion, south of Bethlehem, sabotaged a Palestinian house in the nearby village of Artas, Sunday said a local activist.
The settlers damaged the roof of a wooden house made of tin located 150 meters from the headquarters of the Israeli civil administration, said Awad Abu Sway, head of the wall and settlements unit in Bethlehem’s directorate of agriculture.
The house owner, Mahmoud Abu Sway, said he was forced to leave his house and move to Artas when the Israeli authorities refused to grant him permission to connect it the water and electricity network. He was regularly prevented from working on his agricultural land near the house.
