EUPOL COPPS Concludes Anti-Corruption Training Session

RAMALLAH, May 16, 2011 (WAFA) - EUPOL COPPS Monday finished its anti-corruption and money laundering training sessions for 15 Palestinian public prosecutors and 11 judges in the framework of a comprehensive anti-corruption and money laundering training program, according to its press release.

EUPOL COPPS press release said that the training aimed to provide the judges and prosecutors with a clearer understanding of the international mutual assistance and international cooperation instruments applicable in the occupied Palestinian territory.

It added that the participating judges and prosecutors expressed gratitude and very positive feedback on the programme, asking EUPOL COPPS to continue to provide additional training on specialized topics.

It also said that the programme included lectures by Palestinian and international experts on various subjects such as: Palestinian international co-operation in criminal matters, practical examples on how to plan the investigation and prosecution and how to draft a mutual legal assistance request.
