BETHLEHEM, May 12, 2011 (WAFA) - Israeli soldiers Wednesday handed notices to 7 Palestinians to demolish their homes in the village of Walaja, south west of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
Head of the village council told WAFA that the soldiers broke into Ein Jowaiza area in the village and handed a number of Palestinians orders to demolish their homes within 48 hours, although the houses are located within the village borders.
He said that Israel has been following this policy for years as part of a plan to annex the area to the Jerusalem municipality.
