GAZA, May 10, 2011(WAFA)- Al-Mezan center for Human Rights Tuesday confirmed in its monthly report that Israel is continuously escalating violations of human rights and international laws in the Gaza strip, during April 2011.
The report illustrates the escalation of the Israeli violations against civilians in Gaza. It said 78 Palestinians were wounded and killed; 23 were killed, including two children. The wounded included 17 children and four women. Three were arrested, it said.
The report also detailed the military attacks in Gaza; 37 missiles and artillery shells were fired which resulted the injury of 14 Palestinians, including two children and two women and the destruction of number of houses.
It discussed the ongoing suffering of the Palestinians in the Gaza strip due to the closure of the crossings and prevention of the entry of medical and food supply.
It also said that Israel committed several violations against fishermen and agricultural sectors which were affected badly.
Al-Mezan center called on the international committee to immediately intervene to lift the siege imposed on Gaza and ensure that all crossings are open for people, food and medicine.
