RAMALLAH, May 10, 2011 (WAFA) - EUPOL COPPS prosecution team just conducted a follow-up training session for the seven economic crime prosecutors from the attorney general’s office who attended a study trip to Helsinki and Turku (Finland) in November 2010, Tuesday said an EUPOL COPPS press release.
This follow-up session forms part of the ongoing economic crime training program being organized by EUPOL COPPS for Palestinian economic crime prosecutors.
During the session an evaluation was conducted to assess the impact of the study trip on the prosecutors’ daily performance, which will enable EUPOL COPPS to better plan future training and study visits.
According to the participants, they found the study visit to be very useful to their work and an essential part of the economic crime training program.
The training obtained throughout the trip provided the trainees with practical examples of evidence admissibility, evaluation of evidence, asset tracing, international cooperation, modern investigation methods and coordination between the Finnish Prosecution and Police authorities assigned to investigate and prosecute economic crimes.
