PPC Holds Israel Responsible For Palestinian Prisoner’s Life

HEBRON, MAY 8, 2011 (WAFA)- Director of Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC) in Hebron, Amjad Al-Najar, held  the administration of Ofer prisoner responsibile for Radi al-Khaddour’s life, who was sentenced for nine years.

Al-Khaddour was detained since April 2008, from Bani Naim, a town southern the West Bank. He suffers from a very strong cough and vomits blood. Despite the demands of prisoners to transfer him to the hospital, the prison’s administration only gives him pain killers, according to al-Najar.

He  testified under oath to the PPC`s lawyer that, “Prison’s doctors are guessing my health situation; sometimes they tell me I have Coronary Artery Spasm, other times they tell me I have severe Pneumonia”.

PPC called on the Red Cross to immediately intervene to treat Al-Kaddour before his condition deteriorates more.

It’s noteworthy that the Israeli prisons have a serious lack of medical teams and some prisons have no doctors at all.
