Fatah: Israel Interferes in Palestinian Internal Affairs

JERUSALEM, May 8, 2011 (WAFA) - Fatah Revolutionary Council member, Dimitri Diliani, Sunday said the Israeli campaign against the Palestinian leadership and reconciliation is a blatant interference in Palestinian internal affairs.

Diliani said the Israeli political campaign reflects the racist ideologies of Netanyahu’s government which has escalated Israel’s international isolation.

He warned that Israel’s isolation will lead to an end similar to that of the apartheid regime unless it recognizes an independent Palestinian state within 1967 borders before next September.

Diliani added that Hamas’s stance for establishing a Palestinian state falls within the international vision for the solution to the Middle East conflict, contrary to Israel’s settlements policy and refusal of the two-state solution.

Israel recently launched a campaign against the Palestinian leadership following the signing of the Palestinian reconciliation agreement between Fatah and Hamas, and made calls to re-occupy the West Bank and for Europe to cut off aid to the Palestinians.
