RAMALLAH, May 2, 2011 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas briefed the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, on the latest political developments in the region, particularly the agreement Fatah and Hamas have reached to end the division.
The talks covered developments in Palestine and the Middle East, in addition to efforts to revive the peace process stalled by Israel.
The two leaders also discussed bilateral relations.
Abbas arrived in Qatar on Monday before travelling to Egypt on Tuesday, where he will sign the reconciliation agreement with Hamas on Wednesday.
