RAMALLAH, April 26, 2011 (WAFA) - The overall producer price index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory with its base month January 2011 equals 100 reached 101.17 in March 2011, indicating an increase by 1.26% compared with February 2011, Tuesday said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
PPI for exported products reached 99.72, which indicated a decrease by 0.27% compared with February 2011.
PPI for local consumed products reached 101.31, which indicates an increase by 1.41% compared with February 2011.
The increase of the PPI for March is traced to changes in the prices of agriculture goods, which increased by 3.06%, mining and quarry by 8.60%, and manufacturing by 0.04%. Fishing, however, dropped by 6.87%.
