TULKARM, April 26, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Tuesday prevented prisoners’ families in Tulkarm from visiting their related prisoners detained in Israeli Prisons, forcing the families to turn back at the checkpoints.
According to Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC), Israeli authorities returned four buses that were heading toward Megiddo, Shatta and Rimon Israeli prisons, although the families had visiting permits.
Meanwhile, dozens of prisoners’ families gathered in a sit in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Tulkarm, supporting their related prisoners detained in the Israeli prisons.
The families called upon all international, humanitarian and Red Cross organizations to pressure the Israeli authorities to end prisoners’ suffering inside prisons.
They pointed out that the Israeli forces deliberately humiliate the visiting Families, particularly old women.
