RAMALLAH, April 18, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas starts Monday a three-day visit to Tunis, the first since the ousting of former Tunisian President Zine Al-Abidine Ben Ali.
He will later travel to France where on Wednesday he will meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
A statement issued by the president’s office said Abbas will brief leaders in these two countries on the latest political developments in the area, which has reached a deadlock as a result of intransigent Israeli policies, as well as bilateral relations.
