RAMALLAH, APRIL 5, 2011 (WAFA) – Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) on Tuesday demanded from the international community and human rights organization to intervene to stop Israel from deporting eight Palestinian prisoners because the decision contradicts with international law and human rights.
The appeal came after the decision to deport the eight prisoners was set for April 17 following a meeting of Israeli military objections committee in Ofer military camp near Ramallah.
Israel says the prisoners are Jordanian citizens and not Palestinians
Attorney Jawad Boulos, representing the eight prisoners, said that the Jordanian authorities will not accept the eight on its territory. He said the prisoners have ended their actual period in prison and it is not acceptable to keep them in prison.
