AMMAN, April 5, 2011 (WAFA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Tuesday called on the quartet to issue a statement with reference to terms of reference to the negotiations.
He said this during his meeting with David Hill , Deputy to the US special envoy to the Middle East, in the Jordanian capital Amman.
Abbas stressed the Palestinian position that negotiations will resume only if there are clear terms of reference to the negotiations and after Israel stops all settlement activity.
Abbas’ meeting with Hill comes prior to a quartet meeting planned for April 15.
