WEST BANK, April 5, 2011 (WAFA)- Israeli soldiers arrested Tuesday 10 Palestinians from the village of Awarta, southeast of Nablus, said Qais Awwad, head of the village’s local council.
He told WAFA that several Israeli army jeeps raided the village, broke into several homes and searched them causing damage to the homes.
The Israeli army has been targeting Awarta since the March 11 killing of a family of settlers from nearby Itamar.
Meanwhile in Hebron, south of the West Bank, Israeli forces raided several villages in the area, searched houses and arrested two teenagers, according to security sources.
Soldiers also photographed a police station in Bani Na’im, and closed the gate in a fence surrounding the town, paralyzing movement in and out of it.
