Israeli Settlers Seize Palestinian Land

SALFIT, April 4, 2011 (WAFA) - A group of Israeli settlers from Tapouach in the northern West Bank seized about 600 dunums of Palestinian land on Monday and placed barbed wire around it, according to the head of Yasouf village council Abdul Rahim Muslih.

He said the land is located along the main street that connects the northern and southern areas of Salfit.

The settlers have been working extra hard in expanding the settlement by razing vast areas of land west of the town. They set up 17 mobile homes to annex and incorporate this land into Tapouach settlement.

The settlers have connected power lines and water and planted olive trees they had stolen from Palestinian villages with the help of soldiers.
