RAMALLAH, APRIL 3, 2011 (WAFA) – Nimmer Hammad, political advisor of the Palestinian president Sunday said that the recent settlements’ plans which were approved by the Israeli government will lead to dissolution of the two-state solution.
He said that this policy will lead to a one state solution; which is a bi-national state and will be racist as what happened in South Africa.
Hammad told Raya FM, a local Palestinian radio, that if we don’t reach the two-state solution; a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital and state of Israel, the alternative is a bi-national state or something similar.
He referred to former Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert’s saying, before ending his rule, to his people warning them from Settlements’ policy; “which is a dangerous harming policy to Israel”, adding that the current Israeli government doesn’t want to reach this conviction.
He also said that settlements’ policy is isolated and condemned internationally and is making the support for the Palestinian cause stronger.
Hammad confirmed that the Palestinian leadership is working with the international community to turn stances supporting the Palestinian cause and condemning Israel's settlements’ into policies against the Israeli practices.
