Israeli Police Confronts Worshipers Protesting against Jewish Extremists’ Entering in Al Aqsa Mosque

JERUSALEM, April 3, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday confronted Palestinian worshipers in Al Aqsa Mosque’s yards, in Jerusalem during their protest against the continuous entering of Jewish extremists to the mosque.

According to one of the mosque’s guards, 'Israeli police stationed at the (Dun) al-Maghariba Gate; the only gate which Israel has its keys, began entering small groups of Jewish extremists to the mosque and accompanied them in their strolls around the mosque’s yards and facilities.

A group of Palestinians who were receiving lessons near the gate opposed their entry and started chanting religious words, when members of Israeli Police interfered; moved away the Jewish extremists and threatened worshipers to arrest and kick them out of the mosque if they continue protesting.

Noting that the Israeli police in the past two weeks has arrested worshipers living in the 1984 land (under the Israeli control) for the same reasons and released them after interrogating them.
