RAMALLAH, March1, 2011 (WAFA) - Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Malki said Tuesday that Israel’s unilateral steps prevent the Palestinian state establishment thus undermining the two-state solution.

He said during a meeting with Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Theodor Baconschi that the world’s recognition of the Palestinian state does not resemble the Israeli claims that consider this as a unilateral step.

He briefed Baconschi on the latest political developments in the Palestinian Territory and efforts to resume negotiations with Israel as well as developments in the Arab world.

He said the Palestinian Authority is willing to go back to the negotiation table only if it is clearly based on the 1967 borders, had a specific timeframe, that is end by September, and will lead to a viable Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He stressed that the 130 countries that supported a resolution condemning settlements reflect their support for the Palestinian position and the international isolation of Israel despite the US veto in the Security Council.
