Settlers Raid Beit Ummar in Hebron

HEBRON, February 14, 2011 (WAFA) – A vehicle loaded with armed Israeli settlers Monday entered the village of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in a show of force, according to the National Committee against the Wall and Settlements.

Mohammad Awad, spokesman for the committee, said Israeli forces detained two settlers on a secondary road leading to Beit Ummar.

Eyewitnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces, Border Guards and police accompanied with a bulldozer have closed a secondary road leading to the village.

Beit Ummar has been targeted by Israeli settlers over the last few weeks.
