RAMALLAH, November 14, 2009 (WAFA)- Tremendous tension spread, yesterday, among Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli Negev Prison when the prison administration called on large reinforcements from the Israeli army to break up the prisoners’ commemoration festival of late President Yasser Arafat.

The Prisoners and released prisoners society (HUSAM) explained that, as a penalizing measure, the Israeli Intelligence Director told the prisoners in sections 6,7 and 8 were deprived from their families’ visits for a month.

Prisoners in Negev called on all international institutions, especially, the International Committee of the Red Cross to intervene and pressurize the prison administration to cancel this measure and to put an end to the violations practiced against them.
