RABAT , November 12, 2009 (WAFA) - The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly condemned the edict issued by the extremist Jewish rabbis Yitzhak Shapiro and Yossi Elitzur in a book they published recently, which gives Jews permission to kill non-Jews, particularly Palestinian babies and children, who may pose an actual or potential threat to Jews.
In a communiqué issued Thursday, ISESCO expressed its strong denunciation of the rabbis’ ruling according to which“Hindrances—babies are found many times in this situation. They block the way to rescue by their presence and do so completely by force. Nevertheless, they may be killed because their presence aids murder. There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults.”
ISESCO’s communiqué pointed out that the book, which calls plainly for murder, constitutes a threat to peace and security and manifestly showcases the racist Zionist thought prevailing in the rightist Israeli government.
The communiqué further explained that in Explaining the Talmudic Stance as to Killing Gentiles, another such book published earlier in 1996, we read “During war, it is permissible to kill children and women of the Gentiles (non-Jews) we are fighting against. Though they might not pose a direct threat, they could assist the enemy during the war”
In its communiqué, ISESCO said that this Talmudic thought, which is hostile to peace and humanity, confirms the truth of the Zionist mentality which seeks to violate anything in Palestine.
On this occasion, the Organization called upon the international community to utterly condemn and reject the racist views expressed in this book as they run counter to international laws and constitute a grave violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
