RAMALLAH, September 10, 2009 (WAFA)-The Head of the PLO Negotiations Affairs Department, Dr. Saeb Erakat, expressed Wednesday, hope that the Quartet would make decisions that force Israel to halt its policy of colonization in the occupied Palestinian territory.

 In a press conference with the Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos,  Erakat added: a real problem exists now in the Israeli side who refused to do all its commitment to the Roadmap plan, specifically the colonial activities.

He mentioned that the Israeli government do not respond to the international community demands to halt the Israeli colonial activities including natural growth, which is an obligation on Israel according to Roadmap, stopping  by that the peace process.

He pointed that the “The Quartet - the European Union, the United Nations, Russia and the United States - will convene on September 24 'to discuss the Middle East peace process. 'We hope the Quartet would make decisions that force Israel to halt its policy of colonization in the occupied Palestinian territory.'

Erakat thanked the Spanish foreign minister Miguel Angel Moratinos for all of Spanish  Government efforts for peace process and its aid to the Palestinian people.

Moratinos said that Spain and EU are doing all the support to have the Palestinian State in the 1967  borders. We do not  have to wait another 18 which passed since Madrid Conference.
