IOF Plans to Evacuate all Outposts in One Day

TEL AVIV, July 21, 2009, (WAFA)-  The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) is drafting a plan to evacuate 23 outposts in one day, the Israeli daily Haaretz said Tuesday.

Amid the increased tension between the United States and Israel surrounding construction in the settlements, IOF is drafting a plan to evacuate 23 outposts in one day.

The IOF is now conducting preparations to forcibly evacuate 23 outposts in one day. The plan was formulated by the security establishment, with the knowledge of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In talks with the United States, Israel had said it would clear out 23 outposts built after March 2001 that it had told the George W. Bush administration it would evacuate five years ago. Far as is known, a timetable has not been set for the evacuations.

On Monday the Israeli Police evacuated three structures in various outposts. In response, settlers torched Palestinian olive groves, threw stones at Palestinian cars and blocked roads around the West Bank, two Palestinian were injured.

Meanwhile, Rightist politicians warned on Tuesday that a plan by IOF and the police to evacuate all outposts in a single day would lead to 'extreme' public strife and division.
