BETHLEHEM, July 20, 2009 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed, Sunday, that the holy city of Jerusalem is facing real dangers of judaization and changing its Islamic and Christian features. He stressed that retrieving all Palestinian rights is the key to peace in the Middle East and the whole world.
In a speech he pronounced, Sunday, in his participation with his Dagestani counterpart , Mukhu Aliyev, in memorizing the Isra’a and Mi’raj (Prophet Mohammad’s holidays in Bethlehem, the President that, “to face the dangers threatening our national aspiration and the future of our people and cause, we must work as hard as we can retrieve our national unity and end the state of division; destructive as it is to our national aspiration.”
The President stressed that making just and comprehensive peace requires true will, and enormous courage that puts peoples’ right to live, security and dignity above all considerations. He added that peace is never mono lateral; everyone must pay tribute to this peace.
