Craxi added, in an exclusive statement to WAFA, after her meeting with President Abbas’ Advisor for Political Affairs, Nimer Hammad, that, “we are convinced that economic cooperation is important to push forward the peace project and make it durable.”
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi had renewed, in an interview with the French paper “Le Figaro” his proposition of Marshall economic plan for Palestine, which he had proposed in 2001.
Craxi, who has participated in the “Italy-Palestinian Territory Partners in Economic Cooperation” meeting, said that in the meeting, it has been insisted on pushing forward this plan, which Berlusconi has always talked about, especially that circumstances are now suitable for it.
She continued on saying that Italy is doing its role and is ready to work on this project, especially in the small and medium enterprises economy. Italy is looking forward to having an important role in this great project, insisting that her country is very hopeful of its success.
