RAMALLAH, April 5, 2007, (WAFA)- Minister of Information, Dr. Mostafa al-Barghouti, received on Thursday the Representative of Germany to the Palestinian National Authority, Mr. Jorg Ranau.

Al-Barghouti, briefed Mr. Ranau abut the program of the national unity government as a real base for launching a serious peace process.

He said that the program of the Government includes a call for expanding and fixing a mutual and comprehensive truce but Israel restricts such steps through its continued aggressions against the Palestinian territory.

Al-Barghouti asserted that the Arab Initiative is a good opportunity for achieving peace.

He added that the Israeli PM procrastinates dealing with the Initiative and tries to replace comprehensive peace and international conference with a regional conference and normalization with Arabs.

Minister of Information called for a direct and contacts with the unity government without exceptions.

Mr. Ranau hoped stability in the Palestinian territory and carrying out prisoners exchange between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
