HEBRON, April 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Armed Israeli colonists on Friday torched two Palestinian-owned vehicles in Majd al-Baa community, west of Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Osama Makhamra said that armed colonists sneaked their way into the community and torched two Palestinian-licensed vehicles. The blaze consumed them, leaving only burned-out shells.
Meanwhile, the occupying forces blew up the doors of several stores in Yatta, went inside, and ransacked them, resulting in extensive damage.
The gun-toting soldiers showed up at a house in Beit Awwa town, west of Hebron, and conducted a thorough search, deliberately causing damage to its contents.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
