King Abdulla Affirms on USA Role to End Palestinian-Israeli Coflict


AMMAN, March 14, 2007, (WAFA)-King Abdulla II of Jordan affirmed the importance of the USA role in patronizing a comprehensive peace process that ends the Palestinian -Israeli conflict and leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, living in safety side with side with Israel.

During a meeting with the US assistant Secretary of State David Welch and number of American diplomats working in US embassies to Middle East, His Majesty said the US commitment to achieve peace according to President Bush's vision constitutes a significant opportunity to put an end to decades conflict.

His Majesty warned against failure of the peace process as its failure would bring about mounting violence and weaken moderates in the region, stressing at the same time that the priority of reaching a just solution to the Palestinian cause.

King Abdulla reiterated that Arab peace initiative in 2002 affirmed the Arab willingness and seriousness to achieve peace with Israel.
