IOF Arrests 9 Citizens, Including Policeman in WB
BETHLEHEM, March 10, 2007, )WAFA)-Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Saturday morning nine citizens, including a policeman in the West Bank(WB) cities of Bethlehem, Hebron and Jenin, security sources said.
They told WAFA that Israeli soldiers stationed at al- Container military checkpoint at the juncture of al-Sawahra village of Bethlehem Governorate arrested policeman Baker Sha'lan 22, as he was heading to work in Ramallah city. He was taken into an unknown spot.
In Hebron, Israeli troops stormed at pre-dawn Beit Awwa town and Dier Samet village , south Hebron city, conducted a house-to-house search campaign and arrested four citizens, leading them into an unknown location, WAFA reportes said.
In Jenin, Israeli soldiers erected a flying checkpoint in al-Sweitat area, east Jenin city, stopped a civil car carrying four citizens, checked their identities and arrested and led them into an unknown place, witnesses said.
