Erikat: President and Israeli Primer's Meeting Important but not Much Expectations
JERICHO, March 10, 2007, (WAFA)-Head of the PLO Negotiations Affairs Department, Saeb Erikat said Saturday that the forthcoming meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert would be important, but not pending much hope on it.
Erikat told reporters that he would not raise up much expectations, adding but no doubt it is important.
He mentioned that President is due to put forward combinations of issues linked to final negotiations with the Primer, adding that the meeting would tackle the possibility of the fragile truce reached in last November in the Gaza Strip between Israelis and Palestinians.
He stressed the necessity for setting up the truce in the Gaza Strip and then transfer it to the West Bank.
