President Participates in Celebration of International Women's Day
RAMALLAH, March 8, 2007, (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas participated Thursday, in Ramallah, in the official celebration of the International Women's Day.
During the celebration, organized by Presidential Court, Abbas asserted that the Palestinian woman should have the chance to reinforce its role in the Palestinian society.
He affirmed that the Palestinian National Authority encourages her to continue its important role.
Ms. Ikhlas Jamil, DG at delivered a speech affirming President's support to the Palestinian woman.
She also sent a message to the women world wide that the Palestinian woman, and children, is in need for international support in struggle for its right in peace and freedom.
