President Abbas Receives Delegation from Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem
GAZA, March 7, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received Wednesday in Gaza a delegation from the Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem headed by Cardinal Theodore McCarriak of Washington.
During the meting, President Abbas briefed the delegation on the latest developments in the Palestinian territory in light of Israel's ongoing siege.
He also briefed the delegation on the Israeli continued assaults on the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
The delegation expressed solidarity with the Palestinian President and his people in light of the Israeli economic and political embargo.
