Palestine Participates in International Tourist Exhibition in Germany
BETHLEHEM, March 7, 2007, (WAFA)-Palestine has participate Wednesday in International Tourist Exhibition, 2007, in Germany.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Engineer Jawadah Marques said that the participation of Palestine in this fair during the period, 7- 11, is very important for the sake of marketability of the Palestinian tourism and archeological sites and reactivating tourism in Palestine.
He added that the German market is considered as the most powerful tourist markets for Palestine. He expected the number of German tourists, this year, to reach 40.000 thousand .
German tourists represent 10 % of total tourists who visit Palestine and the third powerful market after the USA and Italy markets, adding that the exhibition is an opportunity for Palestine and tourist sector as well as to fix Palestine as an independent tourist site.
