Arab League Reprehensives Meet in Cairo


CAIRO, February 21, 2007 (WAFA) - Permanent representatives to the Arab League met Wednesday in Cairo to discuss agenda of the meeting of the foreign ministers' meetings, slated for March 3-4.

Arab League assistant Secretary General for political affairs, Ambassador Ahmad bin Hilli, told reporters secretary general Amr Moussa informed the representatives about the developments of the Palestinian cause following a meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice.

during the meeting, Secretary General Amr Moussa also spoke about the situation in Iraq, Darfur, Lebanon and Somalia, added the Arab League official.

Other items on the agenda include positions of Arab countries regarding the financial contribution to the Palestinian National Authority's budget, Jewish colonies and the Israeli Apartheid Wall.
