Al-Awda Community to Host Meeting on Palestinians in Iraq
SAN DIEGO, January 17, 2007 (WAFA) - Al-Awda's San Diego, Riverside and Los Angeles/Orange County Chapters said its will be hosting an important meeting this Sunday January 21, 2007 starting at 2 PM at Al-Awda's Community Center in Carlsbad, San Diego.
In a press release, Al-Awda said that the meeting is called by Al-Awda's West Coast Refugee Support Committee, adding all members and supporters of the community are invited to hear about the current situation of Palestinians in Iraq.
"Our Palestinian brothers and sisters, first driven out from their own homeland by the invading Zionists in 1948, are now being forced out of Iraq, and hundreds are stranded on the borders with Syria and Jordan," reads the press release.
