QALQILYA, August 24, 2006 (WAFA) - Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Thursday ninteen citizens in the West Bank (WB), security sources said.

in Qalqilya, Israeli soldiers arrested twelve citizens and led them into an unknown fate, witnesses said.

In Hebron, IOF arrested the Mayor of Beit Ommar, Farhan A'lqam 42, and three others of Doura town, south the governorate, municipality sources said.

In Tubas, IOF, positioned at a mobile checkpoint, stopped and arrested Mamoun Shehada 22, of Tamoun town, east the city and led hi into an undisclosed place.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers arrested an unidentified citizen at al-Hamra checkpoint, in al-Aghwar area. Another was arrested east of Bethlehem.
