GAZA, August 16, 2006 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas made Wednesday phone calls with several Arab leaders to brief them on the situation in the Palestinian territory, particularly after the consultations and the agreement to form a national unity government.

The President phoned President Husni Mubarak of Egypt, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of KSA, King Abdullah II of Jordan and the Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi, as well as Deputy Prime Minister of UAE, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Presidency Spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rdaina said the President also briefed them on the Israeli ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, adding that these contacts come in the framework of the continuous coordination with Arab leaders.
