PM Calls for International Intervenion to Stop Israeli Aggression
GAZA, April 5, 2006 (WAFA)- Prime Minister Ismael Haniyya condemned the Israeli military escalation against Palestinian people and institutions.
In a news conference held Wednesday during the first meeting of the Cabinet in Gaza and Ramallah via video conference, PM called on the international community, international institutions, Arab states and human rights organizations to immediately intervene to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
Haniyya said that the Cabinet appreciated the Khartoum Arab Summit resolution to offer financial aid of $55 million to Palestinian people, but "The Arab summit decision regarding the funding is not sufficient to meet the demands of our people".
As for results of the Israeli elections, Hanniya said "the upcoming Israeli government has to take bold decisions to recognize our people inalienable rights, and to refrain from unilateral acts that impose de facto on the ground, by tracing the Palestinian state's temporary borders".
