GAZA, May 15, 2004, (WAFA) – Israeli helicopter gunships raided early on Saturday on Gaza City, firing a number of missiles at civilian and residential targets, wounding ten civilians, witnesses and Palestinian medical sources said.... The witnesses told WAFA that Gaza City has witnessed an intensive hovering of Israeli helicopters shortly before firing a number of missiles against the civilians' houses in different areas of the city.... The Palestinian security sources confirmed that the first air raid targeted a three-storey residential building owned by the citizen Akram al-Hatou. The Israeli bombing destroyed the building completely and inflicted a grave damage to the buildings, cars and stores nearby.... Palestinian medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital reported that 10 civilians, including children and a photographer, were differently wounded as being shot by shrapnel.... They added that the Palestinian medical headquarter in the building of al-Hatou was damaged due to the Israeli bombing.... Later on, the Israeli warplanes fired several missiles at another two-flat residential building in al-Nasser neighbourhood, inflicting a grave damage to the neighbouring buildings around.. - -
