RAFAH, May 6, 2004, (WAFA) - Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demolished early Thursday several houses in the Gaza Strip city of Rafah, WAFA and witnesses said.... Eyewitnesses said that around twenty-six armoured vehicles and tanks backed by Apache helicopters rolled into al-Brazil neigbourhood, south of Rafah city, and opened heavy machinegun fire at civilians' houses.... WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli soldiers broke into several houses and launched a house-to-house search campaign causing a state of panic among women and children.... He added that Israeli bulldozers terrorizengly started demolishing several civilians' houses.... Witnesses told WAFA that Israeli soldiers dynamited two houses and brutally demolished seven others, adding that Israeli bulldozers destroyed the infrastructure of the neighbourhood.... Local residents said that the inhabitants of these houses have become homeless....
