GAZA, April 17, 21004 , (WAFA)- New Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Ranteesi was Saturday evening assassinated in an apache air strike in Gaza as well as three of his bodyguards, medical sources and witnesses said.... Medics at al- Shifa Hospital in Gaza said that Ranteesi died shortly after he was critically injured, where three others were instantly killed and fifteen other civilians were wounded.... Witnesses said that Ranteesi was in a local Subaru car, with his bodyguards, travelling in al-Nasser street, adding that suddenly a huge explosion was heard, where tens of people rushed to the car.... They said that Israeli Helicopters fired three missiles at the car, killing three and injuring fifteen others. The car was completely destroyed.... They told WAFA that people as well as rescue teams and medics took three bodies from the car and Ranteesi was in very critical condition, adding that the bodies of the three and Ranteesi were taken to Shiffa Hospital.... Hundreds of people gathered around the car and accused Israel immediately for assassinating Ranteesi who was nominated as the new Hamas leader to replace the founder of Hamas the late Sheikh Ahmed Yassin who was assassinated in the same atrocious Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on March 22....
