2 Children Wounded by IOF in Tulkarem
TULKAREM, April 17, 2004, (WAFA) - Two Palestinian children were shot and wounded Saturday by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, medics and witnesses said.... Thabet Hospital, in Tulkarem, said Mohammed Shaqour, 11, and Saed Abu al-'Aila, 15, were wounded after having been shot by IOF on Saturday.... "Shaqour was moderately wounded in the arm while, according to witnesses, Abu al-'Aila was wounded in the abdomen," Thabet Hospital official said.... The two children were wounded as Israeli troops randomly opened fire at Palestinian houses in the Refugee Camp of Tulkarem. They opened fire after tightening their siege on the city and the Refugee Camps of Nour-Shams and Tulkarem, witnesses said.... "Shaqour was carried to the hospital while Abu al-'Aila was arrested by IOF and led to an undisclosed place while he was bleeding," eyewitness told WAFA.... Hundreds of students and workers were unable to reach their schools and works as Israeli soldiers prevented them from passing through the checkpoints. Witnesses told WAFA reporter....
