Oppressive Measures at Israeli Checkpoints in Nablus
NABLUS, April 17, 2004 (WAFA) - Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) escalated its repressive measures at military checkpoints in the West Bank City of Nablus, witnesses said....
Witnesses said that Israeli soldiers, stationed at Beit Eiba, west of Nablus, attacked Palestinian civilians, forcing them to strip- off most of their clothes, as they also held many school girls and women and searched them meticulously....
"They opened fire over our heads to terrify us, as military jeeps attacked the rows of travellers many times," a witness said....
Nablus citizens said that IOF denied access for whose ages are under 35. "al-Quds Opened University" students were also denied access through the Occupation checkpoints....
IOF tanks and military jeeps stormed yesterday night the city of Nablus, as Israeli military patrols moved Saturday morning into the streets and villages of the city....
