RAMALLAH, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold, with yet another significant drop in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rainfall continue on several districts, with rainfall waning towards night. Active southwesterly to westerly wind blow in daytime, and becomes light to moderate in nighttime. Sea waves are high in daytime and low in nighttime.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 6°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 9°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Thursday’s temperature is set to remain unseasonably low, with partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered rainfall are still expected on most districts, particularly in the north and central districts.
Partially cloudy to cloudy and very cold conditions are expected to continue for Friday as temperature further drops and approaches 7°C lower than its seasonal average. Scattered rainfall with thunderstorms and occasional hail are still expected on several districts, especially in nighttime.
The same weather conditions are expected for Saturday.
PMD warns people against gusty winds which could reach 80 km/h, floods in flood-prone areas, low horizontal visibility and slippery roads.
