Injuries after Israeli army suppression of demonstration at Ramallah’s northern entrance

 

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 (WAFA) – At least eight Palestinians were today reported shot and injured by rubber-coated metal bullets during a demonstration for Birzeit University students at the northern entrance to Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said Israeli soldiers stationed at the checkpoint known as the DCO fired rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades at the students who gathered in the area to protest Israel’s mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners and the recent army raid of their university campus and arrest of three students.

Eight students were shot by rubber bullets and dozens of others suffered from tear gas inhalation including WAFA photographer Baha Nasr after teargas canisters were shot in the direction of the journalists and medics.
